Hybrid Event Planning

After almost 3 years of COVID-19 pandemic, the event market was saturated with tons of virtual event platforms, some now looking for ways to remain relevant as in-person events (thankfully) resume.

The first step is to have clarity on what your event objectives are as a planner, and have a good idea of what your audience wants.

Once you have defined your event objectives and desired audience experience you can then seek out and select your service providers, venue and choice of hybrid platform.

Do – Attend a hybrid event!

Go experience an event for yourself and take notes of what you do and don’t enjoy.

Analyse the process, the invite, pre-event communication, engagement levels, tools that are used and what post event

Don’t – Ignore your online audience

Plan with a ‘digital aware’ mindset. Too often, event organizers forget to make the event come to life for the virtual event leaving them cold and resulting in early exits and low attendance. Switching to virtual should not downgrade the experience.
