Case Study: Mercedes Benz
Increasing engagement, improving the experience through Event App technology to be more efficient and effective in the delivery of dealer training.
Old school PowerPoint® presentations, paper-based tests and formal classrooms are no longer appropriate for effective learning. Mercedes-Benz was looking for a solution to increase engagement and offer a more efﬁcient and effective training experience for their dealer principles.
They elected to use a Participate Event App for their Mercedes Benz School of Excellence training facilitated at the Kyalami Grand Prix Racetrack. All the attending dealer principles were invited to download and use the Event App to enhance their experience.
Convenient and helpful
Upon arrival the delegates were able to use the Event App to access the provided maps and venue ﬂoorplan of where the different training experiences would be conducted. Nothing had to be printed, the agenda and personalised timetable for each delegate was available in the App.
The dealer principles had the opportunity to learn more about each other with personalised proﬁles in the app with their names, photos and personal biographies. The App hosted a photo gallery to capture memories from the experience. Group push notiﬁcations were used to communicate when and where each event was and what time they began.
Informative and engaging
New product brochures and presentations were hosted in the App which could be accessed at any time and remain available for easy future access. During the training sessions engagement was increased using the App. 356 questions were asked anonymously by the dealers to the facilitators which were addressed and recorded for future reference.
Rather than handing out hundreds of notepads, the dealers were able to use their personal devices and take notes using the App that were then sent to their email addresses at the end of each day. This along with browsing the App generated 51288 Page Views from 888 users. No more unnecessary paper usage.
