From humble beginnings
Participate Technologies was born in September 2006 as a conversation in the loft of David and Jo’s 2-bedroom apartment not long after they had gotten married. They were chatting about how much David loved working in events and his passion for teaching and learning.
Audience Response Technologies was not well known, David had been exposed to it whilst studying and he worked as a free-lancer at an international congress at Gallagher Estates.
He wholeheartedly believed that there was an opportunity to start something. This technology could solve many of the challenges faced at events and bring much needed excitement to the classroom.
They took the plunge and officially launched Participate Technologies in January 2007. The first event customer to trust using David and our technology was Bayer Pharmaceuticals, it was a resounding success! The first customer to purchase a system was Deloitte who 12 years later is still actively uses their keypads.
On Participate Technologies 10th birthday in 2017 it had sold almost 50 000 devices and completed over 850 events and supplied its services in 11 countries to over 500 customers.
We asked David what his key to success has been over the past decade and this was his response:
“
It’s a real privilege to have been in business for over 10 years now, it’s been quite a ride!
I am so thankful for our customers who continue to trust us as the experts in audience engagement. Our fundamental strategy is to keep our customers our absolute top priority, our goal has always been to offer the best possible solution suited to each customer’s specific needs and complement this with a service that exceeds their expectations. Good has never been enough, we aim to deliver extraordinary at all times!
”
If you haven’t worked with us yet what are you waiting for? Give us a call, or pop in for a coffee, we love to partner with you and create an extraordinary experience.
